Exclamation Recommend me a PDA

Not much more to add really. I would like something fairly small, with preferably a WiFi connection (not essential, but nice). No idea on budget or features at the moment, so I'm open to ideas.

Chris,
I just recently bought a Dell X30 Axim. It's got a 624mhz processor, wifi and bluetooth and my other half uses it in her car now I've got hold of a bluetooth gps unit and TomTom software. It was recently on offer on Dells website for £196 delivered which I think is a bargain.
If you can stretch to it,the X50v (480x640 res screen) is supposed to be even better but the one we got was good enough for what we needed it for (The X50v was on offer too at the time but it was in the region of £270)

Good luck

Nick

I got an ancient (well about 2yrs old!) Sony Clie for my PDA stuff with SatNav. Runs on Palm OS5, and does the job really well. However, as this was my first PDA, I didn't know whether or not this was electronic route I wanted to persue, so I bought it off ScoobyNet for £50, juts to dip my toe in the water.

I've been really chuffed with it, but am already finding limitations with what I want it to do.

So, I'm looking at a HP Ipaq - but again, a bit like yourself, not to sure as to which one to go for.
I can't see the point in going for a dogs-danglies one, as putting it inot perspective, it is ONLY a PDA - not a PC.

I'll be interested to see what suggestions come up

Thanks chaps. XDA2i is nice. Can you get that on anything other than a contract tied to 02? Also seen the new Palm LifeDrive - very smart, but not cheap

Another shout for the Dell Axim here, we've got 4 X30 PAN/LAN's at work for some of the sales guys and theyre not bad value, wi-fi, bluetooth and a decent speed processor all for a reasonable price.

The other thought is to go for a SE P910i phone / PDA - might save me carrying 2 devices.

been looking at an IPaq RX3715 - looks pretty good, but the change to Microshaft, does deter me. Especially after the speed and easy use of Palm OS. Shame about the lack of multitasking......

Any comments on this Ipaq?

Chris,
I've got a couple of XDA2's, one of which I run on Vodaphone PAYG - I got the unlock and PAYG set-up info from forum.xda-developers.com.

Best to wait until they begin to release new models with Windows Mobile 5 (September I think). I use a Dell Axim X50V and cannot fault it.
