Default Screen-grabbing freeware for Windows apps

Anyone know of a freeware screengrabber that captures Windows drop-down menus?

I'm using ScreenGrab Pro and it will not grab drop-downs (like in your browser, if you click "File" or "Edit" you get a drop-down menu).

Any pointers gratefully received

Craig

windows print screen does not do it, I have one called screen print gold, its a never ending trial version that works, and will do what you want with the drop downs, right clicks etc..

if you PM me an email addy, i will flirt it over, its only 1.6 meg.

taking a picture of whatever is on your desktop, useful for documenting instructions and the like, so you can port it into word with annotation

yep you can do that too, you dont need to hold control though just press print screen and open word and ctrl+V, with paint though you can edit the pic to show just the part you want, my first answer explained it but there are variations

Snagit is small, cheap and easy to use, though not free.
