Default Want to go wireless

I currently have broadband which connects to my pc via an old BT modem (Blue/green flat fish thing)

I'd seen some good reviews of the Belkin Pre-N MIMO Wireless Cable/DSL Internet Gateway Router, but I'm not sure if this will plug straight into the wall or do I need ADSL modem?

Any suggests welcome.

The house I live in has thick walls but is average sized on 2 floors.

it has a modem built in so the phone line goes into the router, I always say only use wireless if you have to, in other works if the computer can be connected with a network cable then do it that way

Sounds like that is a combined ADSL wireless router that will do everything you need. I woulod say use wirless for home so you dont have to run wires everywhere and security is not as much as an issue as it is for business use. Look on broadbandbuyer.co.uk they have lots to choose from, d-link are pretty good imho.

There are currently no all-in-one MIMO ADSL Routers on the market. The Belkin Pre-N is an Broadband Router. Broadband routers require external Ethernet modems to operate while ADSL routers have built-in ADSL modems.

Pre-N Router will not work without an Ethernet modem.

Search on google for Pre-N ADSL - there are some suppliers with ADSL bundles.

Mark - do yourself a huge favour and steer clear of Belkin - cheap nasty stuff. I've had nothing but problems with everything I've ever bought from them. I ended up throwing the last Belkin wireless broadband router in the bin. Stick to Linksys or one of the other big brands.

Belkin Pre-N is the exactly same hardware as the Linksys MIMO WRT54GX. In this situation I would go with Belkin as they have some great bundles with FOC MIMO adapters.
