Remote desktop on XP
Hi All
Is it possible to stop the computer your trying to logon to dissconnecting you, kids computer they're set up as basic user, with password i have an admin rights account but they can stop me longing in, and i can't be heard over the volume to tell them to turn it down

when you remote desktop do you get to the login screen?
if you have admin rights and they dont you should be able to kick them out of the machine, of course if they unplug the network cable (if its connected that way) then it will disconnect. Is remote desktop enabled on the computer (right click my computer and properties and then the remote tab.
If youre on xp pro be sure to password the local admin account or they can login as that and "promote themselves" to admins

On XP pro, they wouldn't know how to unplug connection, mind if they did it would all go quite, music is stored on another machine , permissions are all set up all, accounts have password even the guest one!
Puff i used to use vnc but rdc works well for me, might put it on there's anyways
