Have not setup Adium yet to use it, but will do soon. Nice to have another IM identity

I think even google will find it hard to rip people away from AOL, Yahoo and MSN messenger, all the reviews I have read say it doesnt really add anything feature wise so why would you use it when most people are probably on MSN.

Bear in mind it is still beta, so it's bare-bones at the moment, but they'll build on that. Quite what they'll add, I don't know.
I do agree that it probably won't pull people from the existing IM clients they use, unless it somehow adds functionailty that those clients don't have already, and that's hard to see.
I use a multi protocol IM client (Adium) anyway, as I'd rather have one app rather than five open.

No exactly Marcus just what could you add of any use to an IM client, thanks for the heads up on Adium MSN 4.5 has been screwing around recently so I'll give that a bash.
