theres a guy on www.mkivsupra.net that can get them from Hong Kong, no supply problems out there, and a very good price as well.

Tesco's in Aylesbury had a stack of them today £179.99 - not sure if that was a bundle or just the unit.

apparently Sony have said all outstanding orders will be fulfilled by this saturday so it looks like a load of them might be coming in to the shops..

One of my team has been waiting 3 months for his from Game and is a bit fed up with it all. They are great bits of kit though and at £146 Im tempted to get one.

No. Also the region code will be wrong so you will only be able to watch Chinese movies...

I've got a Ceramic White PSP Value Pack - Japanese market only and now sold out.

This was intended to be my only PSP, but I couldn't wait and bought a UK PSP while waiting...

The unopened PSP is now up for sale.

It'll be going on eBay soon.

Games at the moment are not region coded, so it should be possible to buy a psp anywhere and play games from anywhere on it. This may not always be the case, (especially with sony cracking down on imports etc), but they've shown no sign of enforcing it yet.

If you buy a Jap psp, it will be able to play UK movies because they are both region 2. If you buy a Chinese one, you'll only be able to play chinese movies.

Just because they are made in Japan, doesn't mean that they are encoded for Japan. They are manufactured in Japan for the chinese market (I think), using the chinese region code.

China is region 6, UK / Japan is region 2.

the region code will be displayed on the box wont it??? like dvd players are. have been offered a version 1.51, or a version 1.50 for less money. so if they are region 2 i will be betrter of wit the ver. 1.50. i did ask the seller if it was ok for use in england, and was told yes, but the language barrier is proving difficult

I don't know. I can't remember seeing the region code displayed on the box of mine. But then again. I wasn't actaully looking for it.

Not sure what the charger / electric socket connections are in China either. If you get one from there, you may have to buy a UK adapter as well.

Note that 1.50 is going to be only of temporary use. It's looking extremely likely that the next batch of games (GTA for example) are going to force you to upgrade to the latest 2.0+ firmware to be able to play the game, thus stopping you from being able to use any homebrew or pirated stuff.

i have read that somewhere already. but there is software to allow you to downgrade it back to ver 1.50. so for a couple of days you play GTA your on ver 2.0, then you wanna play some of the old classics again u downgrade to ver 1.5 again??? i will have to look on the boxes. i have been looking on the net and there are people that mention buying psps from china already.

The PSP has a world wide compatible power adapter but you will need to get a figure 8 power cable for it.

thats how much the guy in my club is selling them for. He does the value pack one for £165 and those prices include shipping. Seems an exceptional price to me for such a nice bit of kit. He's sold quite a few to club members already and they are all happy with them, infact some are going back to him to buy 2 or 3 more. Theres nothing in this for me btw, I just know how much hassle it is getting them in the UK and if you can accept an import model then its a good deal. Some people dont like the idea of the import versions.
