IPod accessories - which UK e-tailer?
Seems to be 100 n 1 different places to get Ipod bits n pieces.
For example: http://shop.ipodworld.co.uk/
But, does anyone have a recommended e-tailers?
Also, any recommendation for the following items for an IPod video (30gb):
- headphones, was thinking Shure E3s
- Skin / case
- Speaker docking stationing thing-a-me-jig
Thanks

Well I'll be damned if I can find a good Ipod 5G case
Malware are pap... iSkin Evo 3 are too...
Hmm.. all I want to be able to do is plug my E2c headphones in, and use the dock connector without removing the case!

Try www.macwarehouse.co.uk
God knows how many awards over the last few years, MacWorld, MacUser, MacFormat. Over 15 years in the business too and I've been there for 14.
Have a good range of stuff and if there is anything you want in particular let me know

Bl00dy Apple. £15 for a std USB/iPod cable. If found some around £7-£8 mark, but even then it's daylight robbery. Bet it costs peanuts to manufacture ...grrrrrr

Nothing appears to be cheap where Apple are concerned - all the official products seemed to start at 19.99 (for a iPod power pack!) n upwards in the shop!

Apple have always been over-priced. Like Subaru Dealers, they make all their money from accessories
Managed to nab a cable off eBay for £1 (inc. delivery)

Nice one.
I found the Universal Dock AV was the best bang per buck for me, it included:
Dock
USB cable
AV cable
PSU (with three types of plug)
Dock adaptors for the different iPods (excluded the nano thou )
Still, worked out cheaper than separates.

Apple Hi Fi - sounded 'flat' bar lots of bass.
Monitor Audio - again, sounded flat, not the 'purist' style sound I was anticipating, treble wasn't 'bright' enough.
Boss sound deck (or whatever it was called) again, just didn't cut it through the mid or low range.
Which was a pain, cos I wanted a 'single' unit with full iPod controls.
However, the set-up I got, seems the most versatile for all types of music - looks quite cool too

PS. I really recommend you visit a store and listen to the different units on offer, don't rely on reviews from other people or mags - its depends what sounds good to you.
