If you have the iTunes software, and 2 ipods using one pc, is it possible to have 2 libraries within iTunes? I can't stand the type of music that the library has in it at the moment. But if you delete/change it then the next time the ipod is plugged in it will just overwrite what is already on it with anything thats in the library. So if there is nothing in there then the ipod will be wiped. If there is on song in there then the ipod will be wiped of everything apart from that on song.

Don't forget that you can turn off the auto sync facility in iTunes, which would prevent your iPod from being "corrupted" but the music in the Library.
You could also create two playlists, one containing music you like, the other with the stuff you don't like. Then setup the sync to just sync the playlist containing the music you like.
The two accounts approach is also a good one.
If you want to get really funky and you're on a Mac, then you could use a script like this to manage multiple libraries.

When I plug in the new iPod the computer won't recognise it and the itunes program freezes. If I plug the first iPod back in, everything is fine. I managed to get 2 songs on it through my lap top, but I hardly use this and it hasn't got the library of my main PC.
Is there another program I could use to load songs onto an iPod, or does it have to be itunes?

Is the other iPod Macintosh formatted? If so that could explain why iTunes freezes. the PC version won't "see" a mac formatted iPod, and could well freeze.
I'd suggest running the iPod updater from your main PC with the new iPod attached and then use the "restore" option to restore it back to factory defaults. Then try copying music onto it again.
I think there are other products out there that allow you to copy music to the iPod, though whether the iPod will be able to see the files and play them, I'm not sure. Having a look around on www.ilounge.com would be the best thing to do. Have a peek at the software section.
