Hi All

Just installed Norton Antivirus 2006 on 3 of our work machines. 2 of the 3 are fine and behaving normally.

The other one however refuses to connect to our network.

Windows XP, SP2.

I've tried disabling firewalls temporarily and re joining the already existing network but to no avail.
Network card is being reported as operational and all cabling is fine. I have attached another computer to check this and all is fine.

Also, every other re-boot the mouse fails to work.

Are the two problems related or coincidental?

Any suggestions (other than choose a window!) or things to check?

Any help greatly appreciated, I'm rapidly running out of hair.

Unfortunately, the computer will (via another PC) connect to the internet and access emails using outlook or outlook express but will not attach to our specific work network.

No printer or file sharing. Network places exists and there are the links to the various other PCs but the links are all broken.

Any thoughts?

Just sorted it.
Too many fire walls on that particular PC.
