Default Tomb Raider Legend

Anyone else downloaded the demo for the 360 - pretty damn impressive

Definately gone back to its roots - demo level is fairly reminiscent of the first few Peruvian levels from TR1 (but without the brown-trouser T Rex moment). Graphically georgous and the control system actually works this time.

Worthy of a trip to GAME tomorrow if you ask me.

Or wander into a Tesco Extra and get it for the same price as Gameplay. Which is usually £10 less than Game or Gamestation charge.

I'm stuck already

I'm in the big room with the 3 stones on the floor which you have to press to release the door thingy. I've put a crate on one of them, and can see the other crate in the water but can't get it up the platform.

Anybody done this?

Yup I know, I'm useless

Yeah just noticed this see-saw thing with the crate underneath, do you need to stack them up, or just bounce them on to the platform.

How do you know his pc isnt plugged in to a HDTV? High End PC's do outshine the 360 (albeit 4x the price)

So a 1080i TV is better than a 30" dell at 2550 resolution with anti-aliasing

BTW, do you know what HD actual means or does?, it simply means its a higher resolution than a standard tv, which pc's do without a second thought, my sony 17" monitor runs at a higher resolution than 1080i, and if you're gonna quote hdtv's then technically speaking 1080p would be better than 1080i (interlaced).

I don't. My 18 month old Viera isn't HD ready apparently but supports 1024x768 and I plug my 360 in with a VGA cable and it looks fantastic (much better than the standard cables)

So it obviously supports some sort of HD even though it's not HD ready, which has me confused.

Yes i do know what all that geeky stuff means who doesn't. My point being is, belive me Xbox 360 looks a lot better on my bro's 40" Bang & Olufsen Beovision lcd hdtv than it looks on a scabby 17" monitor whatever the resolution

Again IMHO yes it is. Have you ever sat infront of a 40" BeoVision. Plus why on earth would anyone possibly want a 30" monitor

Yes I have both actually and 2550 at 30" is 2 and a half times the quality and fully anti-aliased unlike the x-box 360 which is like a childs toy compared to my pc

It may look bigger but it doesnt look sharper or any better, picture quality is alot down to resolution and anti-aliasing etc. You are talking rubbish about stuff you don't understand so we'll leave it at that.

Exactly. It doesn't look any sharper but the fact is its bigger. That apeals to me more than a scabby monitor as it probably does with most people so it is better. If the size of the screen wasn't a factor we'd all have 17" monitors in or front room

I'm assuming you've done this by now but... climb up in the room where the 2 wheels are, and use the rope to swing into the lever and knock it down. jump across the one thats running, onto the rope and across the cradle with the grapple, keep going past the open door and keep going up the ladder until you get to another room - then mess about in there to set the water running. (you'll figure it out...)
