Help in buying a PSP
Im sure you are asked each week about this. But looking around for one is making me feel quite old (33)
My sons birthday is in a couple of weeks (6) and I would like to get his a Sony PSP, as we go on holiday 5 days after his birthday.
But Im quite confused as to what to buy and where to buy it from
(Best Price) So what should i be looking for, and what one to get ??
Also is it worth the extra for a white one ??? or is it just the colour that is different.
Please help an old boy make his young son happy !
Cheers
Ps also some good games for it would be nice too ?? Anything to look out for ?

Hello
first off the white PSP is a Jap model and the only difference is the colour. Not really worth more money in my opinion.
Lots of places in the UK are now doing well priced packages (Toys R us) is one I noticed in the paper.
The GIGa pack will only be of any use if you or your Son intend to use the photo/music/movie playback functions of the PSP. If it's only for games then the GIGA isn't needed as it's only a 1GD Duo card that you could get in future anyway.
My Nephew (7) play's Burnout and some wrestling game on his
Hope some of that helps
Craig.

Lots of deals at the mo. Don't get the Basic Package. As you get nothing in termsof games or Memory card. I would defo get the Giga pack. But shop around as they come with a variety of different games. As a thought may be worth getting some extras for the PSP. I.e Car Charger, a better PSP pouch. Something that can carry the UMD discs etc.. Or/and an extra charged battery. The battery has a life of around 3 hours. Have a look on www.amazon.co.uk plenty of stuff on there.

also worth checking out ebay. Ive just bought the following
Black PSP Value Pack
2Gb Duo card
2 Games (Burnout and Fifa Streets 2)
3 Films
Case
Audio Centre Stand thingy!!
All only 1 month old, A1 Mint condition, looks brand new
All for £187
Much better value than the £215 i was going to pay for the giga pack with 1 game. which didnt include fifa streets 2 which was the one he (son) wanted.
If your not interested in the big memory card, you can get a value pack (32Mb card included for save games) and 1 game for £165 from most places, and with a bit of shopping around you can probably beat that.

I have a PSP and I am 26!! I think they are great and well worth the money. If you go on to www.pricerunner.co.uk snd type in PSP, they will search for the best deal.
