Default Logo transparency?

Argh! I have Coral and Photoshop but I can't make a GIF logo transparent.

I am being very stupid! I've tried to follow the help files...

Help?

Hello

You should select the background and say that it is the transparent colour. That's how you do it in Paint Shop Pro. If you put your logo somewhere I can have a go (or someone more talented than me would probably as well).

Use the save for web option, it will ask you to pick the transparent colour

OK Bob, will try that.

Every time I follow the help files something unexpected happens and I get stuck

Steve, I may take you up on the offer if the save thing doesn't work!

If you're using an older version of photoshop it may be called "export to Gif", eitherway it should be on the file menu.

Have you tried 'Help' > 'Export Transparent Image' ?

If not, give that a whirl.

What you'll probably need to do on photoshop 7 is convert it to indexed colour, then export to gif, this will give you a colour picker to select the transparent colour.

Image-> Mode -> Index Colour
