Hi,
I'm looking to replace my current wired ADSL modem/router/switch/firewall with a wireless one. Does anyone have any recomendation?
I saw this on ebuyer which looked good for the price.
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/66004 but was wondering if I should go for Linksys or Netgear.
Any advice? I'll need a network PCMCIA card to go with it.
Cheers

I would say fork out a little extra for the linksys or netgear. Each have thier fans and people have had good and bad experiences with both. Id also go for a matching make of PCMCIA card, so use a linksys card with linksys router etc

I have had issues with both the linksys AND the netgear in the past!
The best (IMO) are ZyXel - if you can get hold of them - they are a business-style ADSL product, but are rock solid.

used to be a big fan of netgear, but after my recent troubles with them, I have moved over to linksys (helps they are now owned by cisco)
do some great stuff on the new unratified wireless range..works even better with end to end solutions, basically the further away you are, the better the signal..

Thanks for the comments.
Have pretty much decided to spend more on a better product after reading various reviews (and problems) with some of the cheaper ones.
I like the look of this.

Hello
I would buy the VoIP one as it doesn't cost anymore and has the ability to use normal telephones for connecting.

I have the previous model (2600VG) and it is very reliable.

My old gear never worked properly. friend recommended Linksys and I seriously could not be happier.
Set up including wireless to the xbox took me around ten minutes which means anyone else could do it in five.
Now I can surf without dropout etc as it should be.
Linksys gets my vote.
