Hi guys, have just added a Linksys print server to our network, its a PSU 4a.
When any of the machines try to print, an error message 'could not open printer port' pops up. If you ok this, it then prints ok.
I've tried messing with the print server settings but I'm not getting anywhere.
Any ideas?

Hmmm, seen this on an Epson Printer, connected to a HP jet direct box
Its in the Epson driver and it says it cos it thinks you are trying to print to parallel and not network, or is expecting an Epson Network Printer card in the printer
We couldnt get round it and just had to leave it with the error message every time they print, luckily they only print a few pages once a week
edited to add, what they should have done is bought an Epson Network Interface for the Printer instead of a HP Jet Direct
