Default NTL: are they pulling my P*sser?

Every time I try to long onto ntl's webmail, I get a pop-up.

I complained to them, as the pop-ups are as widely differing as online poker or loans, and they say it's nowt to do with them!

I've recently noticed that the url for these po-ups always starts with ntl.......IS it to do with them? And how can I stop them?

TIA, Alcazar

tried scanning for spyware? run adaware or spybot, both are free and may help your problem, using a firewall and anti-virus?

Pretty sure it is NTL as I get exactly that, and only from my visits to NTL webmail, at home and work. That said, and I just tried logging in and got nothing Maybe they have fixed it...

Well it's still ad free, maybe you had highlighted a problem on on their webmail system.

I've just tried going to the webmail page ( http://www.ntlworld.com/webmail/index.php ) and I too get a popup, although my popup blocker stops it. So it's not just you Alcazar.

Interesting.....just tried it at work and I don't get the popup at work......although I think work is probably a little more secure than at home

Tell a lie, just checking my email from work and it's just blocked the popup. So yes, there is a popup firing off from there.

NTL give away that netguard crap and tell you how great it is at stopping spam and popups etc so they're not about to admit to using popups on their own page.

Its just advertising, everybodies at it, just tell your browser to block popups from the ntl page.
