Default Test Drive Unlimited

Anyone bought it yet?

Seems to have mixed reviews - nice graphics/concept etc but the driving is not that good, but then some say the driving can be adjusted and it is excellent. Any opinions?

I had a quick go on the full game last night, it's a lot better than the demos. If I see it on the shelf I'll probably buy it.

Not many people knew that you could turn the driving aids off (wasn't documented in the demo).
Not brought it yet, it's on my list though.

Have they improved the handling and physics in the final game then? The demo was laughably bad (especially the motorbikes).

i played the demo a few times and yeah, that was awful, released game does seem a lot better though. I didn't play it for long, but the programmers obviously listened to the bad feedback and did something about it

I bought it and love it. I think its a great game, much better than PGR3. The cars handle and feel really realistic although the bikes are a bit strange to drive. The feel the bikes are the only let down in the game, although it doesn't really bother me as its the cars ive bought it for. The xbox live features are really good too.

Can't say I'm that stuck on it - played it for 2 hours and yesterday, and the initial driving around is just annoying.

Bumper cam is almost useless as you cant see the junctions, and chase view makes the handling worse (?).

I'll stick with it for a bit but I don't think this one's a "keeper"...

Brought it at the weekend. Played it for a few hours. All offline (Thanks Sky Broadband! ) and I have to say I'm quite enjoying it.
In order to buy new cars you only have to find the "deliver a car" missions, don't damage it and you'll be quids in.
Handling isn't particularly inspired and I think they needed to use more vector points when doing the roads as even the Audi TT takes off on the freeways!

The only missions I don't like are taking hitchhikers and models to a specific point in the alloted time.... fecking traffic!
Still loads of the island to explore, I'm still racing around the south of the island

Try the Island Tour - when you have 45 mins spare, a nice cash bonus and a free car.

Millionaires club looks a nightmare -124 mile race with traffic.
