Best Xbox 360 deal and what HDTV?
OK just seen Pro Evo 6 is out next month and Forza 2 in December thats me sold as PS3 and Gran Turismo can take a hike as i'm fed up with waiting.
Now do I wait for an updated 360 to arrive (is there one coming soon with HD DVD etc?) or is there a price drop looming or not until Christmas?
Also have all the hardware issues been fixed with the latest manufactured boxes or are new ones still failing like the original batches?
Also need a 32" HDTV for maximum of £800, is Samsung the best to go for or again is there going to be some price drops/better quality sets worth waiting for at Xmas?

I would be surprised to see any sort of serious price drop before March (PS3 launch in the EU) - The core pack has just dropped to £199, I am not sure if the premium went down a tenner as well.
The HD-DVD drive is an add on - there will not be 360's with the HD-DVD drives included internally.
As you want to hook up to a HDTV, it is probably worth getting the premium pack, as it comes with component leads (so you can get HD straight out the box, although you may want to to dabble with the VGA lead for an LCD set) - also the premium includes a HDD and a wireless controller and headset - Mine also came with a cut down media remote, but I think this was limited to the first few thousand 360's. All in all it is far cheaper than buying a core pack and the extra items individually.
You can get the TV you were looking at here

For a £100 or so cheaper, it would be worth doing a bit of reseach before buying, some LCD's are ****e through RGB and 480i/p(I.e. what you will be watching Sky/DVD's through) - LCD's are never great outside thier native resolution.
