Who is your e-mail provider?

I'm with yahoo and they have a spam filter (puts them all into the bulk folder). When I download to Outlook I have a rule that everything with BULK in the subject (yahoo does this bit for me - you have to turn it on) goes into my spam folder. I can then review the folder every now and again to make sure no proper e-mails are getting excluded (I can't remember the last time this happened and I've had my yahoo account for donkeys years).

Sorry, Thunderbird is Mozilla Thunderbird - a free and very good e-mail client that has built in Spam and Scam protections/folters. I made the (rather big!) assumption that your are using Outlook Express - Thunderbird is so much better and more secure. It's close enough to OE to use quickly and easily IMO. Also, transfering all e-mails over etc is a breeze.

It doesn't work. Spammers will just email anything@your.domain.

You _cannot_ stop spam. Best thing to do is whitelist your main inbox so only those addresses you put in a separate file can actually get into your inbox. The rest (people you don't know, mail not caught by the spam filter, online purchase reciepts etc) should be sent to another mail folder rather than just deleted, peruse that when you like.

Because I used to get over 2000 spam e-mails a day, I took drastic measures;

www.spamarrest.com

Yes, it's a paid for service ($4 a month) but it works with no intervention on my part.
