Anyone here know how i can get around this problem?

I called Citrix - Sorry we have no supported software
I called Microsoft - Sorry we have not recommended software for a TS environment..

A server is currently effected with SPYware - and i am not sure what i can use to clean it...?

Any thoughts?

Problems:

Use a virus scanner that detects spyware and supports citrix. I can think of one but that's borderline advertising.

McAfee. Doesn't quite capture everything spyware-related though, but then again not a lot does have a 100% strike rate.

We use it at my work and have never had a virus infection.

But does Mcafee do do an online scan from the internet + Spyware?

Also any idea if its ok to use with Citrix?

Installed AVG free to clear some Virus's and it caused some huge issues...will be removing and restarting the server shortly..

No idea if it works with Citrix, but for spyware I use Spybot and adaware, between them both, they will kill off 99.99% of spyware.

Get them here

http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html

and

there is also an article about inetcpl.cpl here

Okay, found the problem.

The Temp internet files for all sessions were located in the Winnt directory, which was causing issues with general Internet access also with Outlook.

I had to delete the user profile directory on both the Citrix Server and the File server and recreate the user profile..

All is now working for the few users that i have tested this on..

Need to now find a way of doing this for the remaining 50 users more quickly.

Virus Scan Enterprise is fine with Metaframe.

What are you doing without virusscanning software on a server
