Hi,
I want to play .ra and .ram files (from streaming radio) in Windows Media Player, but I can't find codecs for doing it.
Does anybody know if it can be done?
I don't want to use another media player.
Thanks.

I've looked into that already, but I need to play the files in Windows Media Player, because I want to listen to them via the Media Portal application - it's an open source alternative to Windows Media Center Edition.

Thanks for the link.
I've read through the notes and they say that Real Alternative is required, along with RealMedia Splitter, in order to play back Real files in Windows Media Player.
I have both these applications installed, but I still can't get WMP to play back the files.
The actual Real Audio Input Plugin doesn't mention WMP and says it's for Winamp, so are you sure it will work? As it doesn't seem to relate to WMP, what is it about the plug-in, that lets WMP play back the files?
Would I also need to install Winamp?
I've spent a long time looking into this and haven't found a viable solution yet. Also, quite a few people confuse Media Player Classic with Windows Media Player.
