Default New PC - Comments

Fellow experts

Building a new pc (again) - the following is the spec - any comments or advice from those that have tried these or similar components

Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (seems the best out there)
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (compromise on speed to performance)
2 x OCZ 2GB (2 x 1GB) PC2-6400 Dual Channel Special Ops XTC Series DDR2 to give 4GB (like OCZ)
2 x Samsung SpinPoint P SP2504C 250GB SATA-II 8MB Cache - OEM (need a speed \ noise compromise)
Antec P180 Advanced Super Midi Tower Case - No PSU (Silver) (style and silence)
Pioneer DVR-111DBK 16x16 DVD±RW Dual Layer ReWriter - (Black) OEM
Connect3D ATI Radeon X1800 XT 256MB GDDR3 AVIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket 775)
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Music - OEM
Antec Phantom 500W Hybrid Fan Silent ATX2.0 PSU

nice setup

would go for a dual gfx card and get a more powerful atx power supply the x1800xt is a bit dated for the high spec you got there

I imported a Seasonic M-12 600 from Germany, awesome PSU (They might have stock in UK by now).
The Conroe E6600 is working great for me as is the Silent 7600GS (512Mb) GPU as this PC isn't used for gaming I went for a quiet setup

hmm looks good but could take a while - going for the antec true power now - and a x1900xt master so I can add a x1900 later in crossfire mode.
