Distorted graphics / slow refresh?
Hi, I put an Nvidia 6600 GT graphics card in my Dell a few months ago to play Call of Duty 2 online. After a few minutes of playing, the graphics become quite slow and I get purple and green triangles all over the screen, which can get to the point where you can't actually see the screen at all. It get's worse and better, it's not constant, but once it starts, it doesn't really go back to being perfect.
I wondered if it could be overheating as it doesn't happy straight away?
Any other ideas, please?
My processor is a 3ghz pentium 4 with 1gb.
I'd really appreicate any help with this! Cheers!

is it a silent card by any chance with no fan? I had 2 x 6600gt in sli mode and got the same problems after a short while of playing games ( i did have mine overclocked a bit though)

Get the most recient drivers for your card
guru3d is a top site for this stuff!
Also it may be auto-overclocked!
Get riva tuner too and make sure its not overclocked. Also check on the manufactures of the games site as it may be a commen problem.

Cheers, it has a fan (and a pretty blue light) and I try to keep the cupboard ventilated. Is "overclocked" something I control? I assume that means it's running beyond optimum capacity, but can I adjust that?
Thanks guys!

Maybe worth getting hold of the manufacturers drivers of the cards. Just in-case the Nvidia ones are giving you problems. Also maybe worth getting up-to-date Motherboard drivers.
