while on pc last niht NORTON picked up a Trojan virus and delt with it.. this was about 10:47pm

around that time I had noton pop up boxes saying something was tying to acces the PC (can't remember what it was) but the Norton gave a recommendation to accept it. so i did.

Now.. I have a new tool bar on my PC... a green boxed arrow with Protection Bar on it.. then remove adware popups.. SPAM protection.. scan for Spyware.. security test.

also the small icons near the clock on the righthand side at the bottom (this is on XP).. there is a round blue circle with a white question mark.. this now flashes bewteen a warning sign (like on a road)
every so often a bubble text window comes off it telling me that there are CRITIAL ERRORS etc etc virus ditected.. etc etc
if i click it.. or right click it.. etc
it changes to a IE window open with this website http://www.virusburst.com/?aff=321

now.. what have I done.. how do i sort it.

ran NOTON scan.. nothing showing up.

should i worry?
how can i remove the tool bar at the top and these 'popups'?

Hi once you have cleared the problem DONT use internet explorer
Got sick of all the spyware and trojans it picks up and moved to firefox, have to say its the best thing since sliced bread where the internet is concerned!

sorted it. did a pc recovery and started a fresh... lost everything.. but did find my files.. just lost all emails and address in OE.
oh well.. least the spyware has gone.
