Ive just bought a new game for my pc, but unfortunately the graphics card isnt up to spec.
I have a 64 mb one and the min recommendation is 125mb.
I have a dell computer, i was just wondering at which is the easiest thing to do, can you just pull the graphics card out and put the new one in and install the program ?
Any tips on which to get ? im looking at a NVIDIA GeForce one, are they any good ?
Please can you give me some tips
cheers r j

If graphics on AVG card then not too difficult to change.
A phillips screw and power lead. Remember don't use force.
Before removing remove old graphics drivers. Via Start-Control panel-Ad & remove software. Look for grapics card manufacturer on list and remove.
Then power down and open case. Look here http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-3118_7-5023982-1.html. In 2nd photo AGP is the brown slot while the PCI are the white ones.
Only problem is if graphics built into motherboard then you could be stuck.
You will need to check if there is a free AGP slot on motherboard. If not you may have to get a PCI card, slower older tech http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/cat/Graphic...deon-PCI-Range. Remember that's PCI not PCI-E different animal entirely.

Anything above a 6600gt will do you fine for now if your not intending to run everything at the highest settings!
Also the more memory the better and stay away from silent cards as they can get quite hot very quickly

All Nvidia AGP cards on this page. Good company too IMO ( a few on here that will disagree though)

The pci slots are the white ones on the left. But what are the 3 brown ones which are running horizontal in this pic. I have one of those free.
Cheers,
