You have two choices: PartMaster or a firm who re-cells your existing battery case.

Did you try phoning mds? I used them to get a battery for my daughter's Packard Bell laptop (iGo). I think it was an NEC battery and they were about the only company who could help. Still paid a lot though. There were some on e-bay but didn't want to take the chance. I agree it's bloody annoying paying £140 or whatever for a dinky battery. dl

It's actually NOT SONY. Sony are the suppliers of the duff batteries that have been catching fire in Dells, Apples and Toshes.

Packard Bell is a trading name of NEC Ltd. Packard Bell notebooks used to be NECs but more recently theyve changed over to cheaper OEM Mitac devices. Im not connected with PB any longer so I cant really help, but it may be that a battery is available for a Mitac or other 'brand' that Mitac have supplied similar OEM kit to. Packard Bell sales in Holland (its an 0870 number though) may be able to help (get the number from PCServicecall); failing that you need a firm who re-cell your existing battery case.

I normally use laptopshop.co.uk

However the battery you need is £140 on there too!
