As per the title really. I'm clearing out my pc bits at the moment and have several old disk drives, modems, 8mb memory sticks, etc etc. Should I just sling them or is there somewhere that will pay dosh for them? Don't want to do an individual thing on Ebay - too much like hard work.
Cheers

Rather than bin the old parts, perhaps you could offer them to one of the charities that collects old PC's? The older parts might come in hand for them repairing older systems.
Mine go into the overflowing box too!

Dont think its as simple as just donating pc's anymore etc, due to stupid EU regulations and health & safety
PC's have to electrically tested and passed as far as I know
Ive been down this road before saying that corporates should donate old pc's to schools/charities etc, they skip them as it costs too much to do anything with them

Yep another hoarder here except my old bits box overlowed into several bags which then overflowed into large moving boxes in my loft
The Mrs has repeatedly threatened to chuck the lot but I showed her the other week, recovered an old vga switch box from the loft that works a treat for the 360 and PC on one monitor
The bags of modems, kingston network cards, various isa cards and old memory sticks probably should go though...

Found somewhere to send a lot of bits if you don't want to dump them. Try Computer Aid International Refurbish Recycle Donate
For a tenner you can send them *some* of your old kit. I *may* do this - I'll see exactly what I have compared to what they actually take.
I actually got to the site from here Greens: Vista means more dead PCs - ZDNet UK .....![Big Grin](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
" ... The Green Party has claimed that Microsoft's latest operating system, Vista, could lead to a mass upgrade of PCs that will result in old machines being dumped in landfill sites ... " I'm thinking that landfill is needed because they don't seem to have enough to fill in the potholes in our roads!!!
