The VGA HD AV cable does not support the PAL 50 setting required by this game. Connect the composite connectorof your cable or use an advanced scart or component HD AV cable.
I am playing it on an LCD monitor so can only use the vga cable. Is there anyway round this problem?
(Can't play GOW this early as i'm banned from playing it until the kids are in bed so wanted to try Forza!)

I got it working you need to change the setting to 640 X 480 not sure if i put the scart cable in into my CRT and changed the settings to pal 50 too.
Just try the first then if it doesn't wok do the second one to.

Original Forza was a 50Hz game, so its not going to work Bob . . .
Xbox 360: You cannot play some original Xbox games when you use an Xbox 360 VGA HD AV Cable

Whats the native resolution of your LCD and what res do you have the 360 set at ? Looking at a new LCD for the PC and wouldn't mind one where the 360 looks good on it too. The one I'm looking at is 1440 x 900 native, so I'm not sure how good its going to look at 1280 x 720 . . . . thats a lot of 'looks'

I have an Advent 19" wide screen from PC World when they were on special offer with built in TV tuner box for £179. Its max res is 1440x900 and play the 360 in 1280x1024 and I think it looks stunning and as good as an HDTV I tried out before going down the LCD route. I have the monitor on a switch box between PC and 360 and there is no degradation in picture quality. Very happy with that solution as the Mrs can watch telly and I can play the 360 with no 'discussions' over who wants to watch/play what

Ive been playing it on a HannsG 19" widescreen monitor its native res is
1440 x 900 what i did is plugged the xbox to my crt tv first to change the settings to 50htz first also might of downloaded any update needed to.
then put it back into VGA on thre monitor when there change the display setting to 640 x 480 and screen format to normal when playing Forza then just change it back for 360 games.
Deffinatly works
