Default Yahoo Messenger / Vista Ultimate (64)

Hello

Is anyone else using Yahoo Messenger with Vista? It does weird stuff on mine, so much so that I had to uninstall it.

Nope I don't use it, but I've heard of other people having similar problems.

I've just found that iTunes doesn't work on the 64bit os either.

It works fine on 32 bit Vista.

Yep. They just don't seem to want to support 64bit.

Is the 64 bit version so different to program for? I thought that (generally) the OS just got on with it. I seem to remember in my programming all those years ago that the multi-layer architecture stopped you having to worry about it ..

It shouldn't be. All the 32bit software I've written (at work) works fine on the 64bit os. Apple has never been very good at writing windows software though. It took them ages to support dual core when it came out as well...

Certainly holds true for iTunes.
