I didn't know you could upgrade XP Pro > Vista Home?

Surely it'd be eithor XP Home > Vista Home or XP Pro > Vista Pro?

xp pro > home basic/premium is a clean install
xp home > home basic/premium is an upgrade

But is it 32bit home basic, or 32bit home premium? There's a big difference (and both have green packaging)...
