just had a call from GAME to say they are now takin £50 fully refundable deposits for the new PS3

They are also giving £50 trade in value for the slimline PS2

I put my name on their list months ago and was previously told the list had been scrapped

£425 is alot of money and could go towards some new mods for the Impreza

thing is do I put my deposit down or just spend the money on the car?

personally, I wouldnt bother....just get a xbox 360 and join in the online fun.....maybe get a ps3 when its had a few price drops

Just wait until the DX10 games come out on PC. Spend the PS3 money on a DX10 graphics card and enjoy games that will graphically bury PS3 and 360!

I dont know the specs properly but on Bravo think it was GamerTV they were comparing XBOX360 and PS3 games.

They showd the same game on both console side by side and they both the same to me, infact the 360 looked a little better.

I wanted one but am not too sure now (got a 360) The only thing thats really tempting me at the moment is that if i do get one and find that i don't really want it, it could always go on Ebay!

I wouldn't bet on that. USA ebay prices plummeted very quickly. In fact, I've just looked on ebay, and there's a few sellers doing them around £420 (the same as the UK retail price).

just been to the game store at meadowhall to pre-order a unit,the list of games on release day is quite impressive TBH,far more it seems then the xbox 360 on release day

also,the queue was huge for the pre-order sign up

Don't get caught up in the hype for PS3.

Can't believe the number of people who HAVE to have one at launch, then find out the launch games are very mediocre. Its a very dfficult machine to develope games for and they take a long time. Launch games are usually rushed and very average at best.

I've long since passed on Gran Turismo, but if you're waiting for that, it won't be out until 2008 at the earliest.

I can't believe people think that they'll only be paying £425, according to the bloke in Gamestation the other day, all the HD cables are extra cost.


Oh and the fact you've got a £50 outlay for one game, getting nearer the £500 mark.
