Ideas for PC Games
Well i'm missing my gaming.
The consoles (X360/Wii) just didn't work as we've only one TV. So...i remembered i've a hit-shot PC setup and used to like some PC games, so i'm after some.
After recommendatons for ANY games like these lot, OK if older too...
Mafia - loved this one, driving etc. Godfather like this?
Return to Castle Wolfenstein - One of my best games ever! First FPS experience. Lost weeks with this.
Battlefield 1942
Age of Mythology
Splinter Cell
Have just bought Splinter cell: chaos theory for £1, but would like a few others.
Was thinking about using a PS2 controller too. Don't know if it's possible, sure it must be

Just bought FEAR for £2, and IE crashed, so missed out on RTCW:EE for £2.50.
Might order Stalker later, after playing these, the demo on Play did lOOk good.
Was hoping to get something like Mafia too though, then i've got a little bit of everything. It was original, required driving (don't like GTA) and shooting. Perfect!

The following are also worth a look, all pretty cheap now and seem to fit in with your original list pretty well:
PREY
SWAT 4
Quake 4
Doom 3
SIN Episodes (via STEAM)
I had a think as I loved Mafia too and there isnt really anything that compares if youre not a GTA fan.
The only thing that perhaps might work is a similar title called The Godfather and you can find a review here:

There seems to be a BF2 Deluxe Edition, with everything, but is £25. And then there's a special (??) edition, for around £20.
Is the deluxe the best one, or will a cheaper one suffice?

I was exactly the same as you, took a couple of months, but now I've unlocked a fair few of the techy toys its really good. Worth persevering with IMO. The weapons take a bit of getting used to if you've played BF2 for a while - don't expect G36C accuracy all the time, and pick the right tool for the job. I find playing recon class with the Lambert carbine and using the active camo (plus Northern Strike camo unlock) seems to be the best all round - plus you can take both C4 and claymores with you, useful for Titan mode.
