hmmn my laptop found my phone and connected and wanted to make it into a modem etc and asked for dial up number password etrc etc
so does anyone use this method? how much does it cost? do you have to use a payg isp? what about call costs? its a orange payg sim

I have used it in the past in the odd emergency (ebay bids and not at home lol)
Cant remember off hand how much it cost, but I was dialling an 0845 number, be warned it can be very slow

Unlike Sonic who appears to have been using Dial up, the newer phones use their own internet to connect the computer, so you know when you use the internet on your phone, its the same, they normally charge silly amounts like £1 a mb to download ! So I'd use it for emails when you really really need to but thats it, unless you get on a contract with free wap.
Also they can download at braodband speeds
