Hi,

I've ordered an Xbox 360 which includes Crackdown, but will that get me into the Halo 3 Beta, or does it have to be a specially marked copy of Crackdown?

If the latter, would I be able to use one of the specially marked ones to download the Halo 3 Beta stuff and then use my standard copy of Crackdown, but still play Halo 3?

Do you need to have the Crackdown disc in your 360 to play Halo 3?

Any advice appreciated!

it needs to be marked but I think they all are ? (may be wrong)

you need to load crackdown to play the Beta so I'd think you still need the marked copy to play it. Remember it only lasts for three weeks or so.

You can only access the Halo beta from the Crackdown disc (as RB5 said all the Uk ones i think were marked up with the beta)

Played this for the first time last night, what does everyone think?

I'm not a Halo fan and couldnt get into the story of the original, Halo 2 multiplayer IMO felt really odd I just couldnt get to grips with it, the controls felt a bit wrong.

The Beta then, well, looking at it I really dont see how this will be the 360's 'killer app', it feels much the same as Halo 2 (perhaps thats a good thing for a lot of people), the controls feel wrong and it feels too damn slow (how do I run???), I played it for an hour last night and I think I only managed one kill!! lol. It didn't feel as much fun and as easily playable as a game such as Gears of War.

I know its probably not had its final polish graphics wise, but I didnt think it looked at all next gen either.

Just my thoughts. Perhaps I just need to give it more time.

Well i think its great even going back to it from advanced gameplay such as GOW, a sign of a true classic. For one, GOW campaign is pathetic compared to halo, however i fear online MP affect SP for the worse.

not played the beta or anything, infact i have not played anykind of halo game to date, looking forward to it just because of the hype


i did used to like unreal tournament on the PC and it looks kinda the same, i`m crap at GOW online and i have still not won a match yet but istill love playing it.

Loved halo 1, thought it bought something new to the genre, halo 2 seemed too much of the same though hope 3 will not disappoint

Screw halo 3, just found worms on live arcade and cannot stop playing it all those hours wasted on the ps1 as a teenager are finally paying off

Prepare to be dissapointed, it basicly Halo 2 with a few new guns and vehicles, the graphics arent even any better than the old xbox!
