Default "network" question

I have my main work computer plugged into nice 100mb connection, now i also use my laptop, it does have wireless and i can connect to our wireless nodes at up to 54mb (on a good day) but it gets knocked of at reqular intervals (it is site registered).
So question ios, is there a way of "usb" connecting the 2 computers to form a local network?

cheers ray t

why not just ****-off the network admin and plug a small 4 port switch into the wall network socket - then just run your PC and laptop off that? ;-)

Can second pimmo2000 - there's no end of problems with USB networking - just get a NIC and you can't go wrong - cheap and cheerful.....and works!!
