The demo is out tomorrow, sounds like a good one..
"We think the demo is really going to wow a lot of people. It'll have a Super Stage crossover rally with Colin as your opponent, it's got buggy racing against 9 opponents which is absolute carnage and really shows off the car models, and then we have a hill climb with fantastic scenery and a Travis Pastrana time to beat. It's a great little package and it's out on May 24"

I would, but it just stopped downloading, and now marketplace says it's unavailable. As soon as it decides to start working again I'll set it downloading again...

Yes PC demo also today.
Played a 360 build a few weeks back, it does look gorgeous! Some nice modes in there too, will be some good online play to be had.

Well, the demo is a bit short. I gives you three races (of varying types), then quits. Graphically it is quite nice, but the controls / overall feel of the game are more like Sega Rally than a sim, (especially with the cheesy voice overs etc).
Looks like it might be fun though

It's a clear attempt to try to grow the franchise into America, I think the more realistic handling model would not be well recieved there. Shame people can't include a 'sim' mode more often for driving game afficionados.

Mine was dropping in and out first thing this morning, but I assumed it was my cable connection (which has also been a bit flaky today).

The PC version will probs be more sim orientated. The console versions are usually just aimed at kids who want a quick blat round a track in a car with mud on it

My 360 is having as much trouble as everyone else. If it doesn't just stop and cancel the download it just sits there with the progress meter not going up.
I blame Codemasters!

Hated the american cheesy slant its taken now, ruined it totally for me. The game itself was pretty good, nice graphics, nice arcadey playability. But, Codemasters, please don't force the UK to put up with more shouty, over exuberant yanks

ended up leaving it running overnight. For some reason low power mode didnt work properly so i left it going on full.
Had a quick go this morning.
Seems pretty good but I didnt look to see if you can turn off the crappy voices. As above, hope there will be pace notes.
Views seem good too. Will try the wheel tonight.
