Call of Duty 4 Beta help Xbox 360
I missed the Beta for this but managed to get it on my 360 by recovering a friends gamertag and redownloading it.
Trouble is, it will only launch if i'm signed on with his gamertag. I can use it with my own gamertag if I sign out while the game is running and sign back in again as myself.
Does anyone know if theres a way around this or is the demo set up on purpose like this?
Also does anyone know what happens if i'm signed in using the other gamertag and my friend goes to sign in on his machine with the same gamertag?
Lastly, got an update to the machine when it fired up yesterday. Anyone know what it was all about???

Microsoft Addresses Call of Duty 4 Beta Issues news from 1UP.com
Just googled and found the above link, looks like they haven't actually banned anyone but may in the future if it causes problems with Xbox live.
I guess the update must have closed this loophole as the beta will now only launch with the gamertag it was intended for. Shame , looks to be a good demo.

No one got a ban but they did close the bug that allowed the download without a code after a couple of days, there was slightly more to it than simply recovering the tag though.
Your friends tag is now on your machine and not his, he needs to recover it back to his if he wants to use it, when he does that it wont be on your console.

Ah ok mate thanks, haven't turned it on today since he's been on so didn't know that.
Apparently the beta ends next weekend anyway so no loss.
