Default Upgrading 2nd pc....help needed!

Hi all,

I'm looking to upgrade my second pc tomorrow for the missus and am having a hard time deciding what to choose..

It's a packard bell imedia jobby running vista with only 1gb ram :s

It has an entry level graphics card (ati x1650se with 256mb ram) and 1gb or ddr2 4200 system ram.

Got a couple of questions:

What's the best sub £110 graphics card i can buy without having to upgrade the standard power supply (250w max)?

Am pulling my hair out about ram upgrades; on the ram already installed it reads:

1gb 1rx8 pc2-4200u-444-12-zz
1gb ddr2, 533, cl4

Am I right in thinking this ram would work as the 2nd gb? 1GB 240Pin 533 DDR2 RAM DIMM 1.8V : ram-53/1gb

Thanks in advance guys

Looking at how cheap power supplies are now i've discoverd it's within my budget to purchase a 350w+ power supply to support a better graphics card.

So I have another question, what do I look for in a power supply beside the wattage when choosing the right one for my pc? Because my pc is PCI express intel core 2 duo would this one be compatible? JEANTECH 350 Watt PSU, 24 pins, SATA, PCIE, ATX 2.01 : jea-350p

You have to remember that these prebuilt pc's come (normally) with the cheapest parts available in them and skimp where ever they can (on board sound for instance).
I personally dont rate (pc worlds) jeantech psu, have a look at some of the other places you can buy a decent psu from Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK dabs.com - PC Hardware, Components, Software, Digital Cameras, MP3 Players computer hardware, components, systems and peripherals at the lowest prices from IT supplier Aria Technology for instance.
My last pcu cost me 90 quid, prior to that it was 55 quid.
The above 3 also do graphics cards

Right, go for a 450w psu, memory is as follows
4200 denotes its pc4200 ram, the 4-4-4-12 is the latency for that memory, 533mhz is the memory speed, not sure what the cl4 is but you need to find out if the memory is buffered or unbuffered
Example
Computer hardware and software at amazing prices, available online from Scan Computers UK
