It's the same as the other 2.
Wouldn't say it's anything groundbreaking ( or certainly not seen anything after 3hours play ) it's all been seen before. Same weapons ( apart from the new sheilds ) it's just slightly more polished and smoother.
If you liked 1 & 2 ( I did ) then you'll like this, but I don't think it will convert the previous Halo haters into lovers..

Save yourself a small fortune and get Perfect Dark Zero off ebay - its basically the same as far as I can see.
Online is OK, the beta must have done the trick as no laggy games (had about a dozen).
Went back onto the COD4 beta in the end...
Anyone notice the BBC ***** up? - they were covering the launch and showed footage taken from Killzone 2.

PD0 the same as Halo3??????
Harsh!
PD0 is utter tripe - Halo3 is rather excellent. As said before, it's not going to convert anyone that didn't get on with 1 or 2, and graphically it isn't the best looking game in the world, but interms of a game it's very very good.

Harsh but fair...
To be honest I rather liked PDZ, but 2 years on I wasn't expecting a game to look almost identical to it.
Agree that online is a lot of fun, and good how bungie have integrated being able to mute players into the interface rather than having to go back to the dashboard - pity there's no option to mute all Americans by default though!

imo PDZ was **** it was Rare (iirc)were trying to carry on from the N64 games (if they had done a new Goldeneye that would have been better)
Can't see the problem with Halo 3 if you believed the hype (which lots of people have) then shame on you.Graphically it might not be up there with Gears of Bore but it's a better game but as repeatedly stated graphics don't make a good game.

lol i'm still stuck on the 1st act in GOW so if you get fed up with gimps and drop outs you can/can you help me out on co op and get me past that monster thing that you have to run through doors from, i'd really like to see the rest of GOW

That part of the game is easy, wait until later on when you have to kill one indoors.

tried that when i played through on insane mode (3rd time around) frags don't work on the door and i got pummeled into the ground LOL
i`m stuck on level 3 on insane mode myself LOL, started it, got killed a few times, figured i would try loading another chapter and come back to it later, every time i start level 3 now they give me a torque bow with 6 shots, instead of the sniper rifle i used to have with 24

You have to laugh when people bang on about it not being about gfx but about gameplay then as soon as a new game is out they harp on about it being a let down graphically and not truly next gen. Although how they know what truly next gen is without ever having seen what a machine can fully do I don't know.

The lam wretches were a pita, if you mean the largish room with the 4-5 mining carts in then i entered the room until they started to come at me then ran back to the small enterance room and picked them off from there.

insane finished for me but needed co-op help on the Act3 wretches bit (before the cart control room) and on Ramm. You need sniper and torque bow to clear then headshot about 9 times to take him down.

Well i've done the first little training mission thru the woods and am now in the base, hangar mission, followed by working my way thru corridors of an infiltrated base, i get the impression i'm playing halo over again.
Gfx are ok, certainly better than 1 and 2, but gameplay so far is nothing new, i'll keep at it for the time being, i lost interest half way thru halo 2 because of it being the same again.

Same here, im getting bored very quickly of the multiplayer side of the game, theres only so much you can put up with when it comes to jumping and shooting or being killed in one sniper shot to your little toe!
As for the campaign, very short and also easy on Heroic. The only thing stopping me trading this in is doing Legendary mode, then its going for PGR4 or COD4.

Good luck on Legendary mode. I've just completed Legendary co-op with 2 friends and it was insane in some places. Legendary solo is not for me

Am i the only one playing Halo 3 that gets killed instantly?
I have never really played Halo but I seem to be killed almost instantly in the Multiplayer games,it doesnt seem to matter how much I shoot the other person I always seems to die first
I still much prefer GOW (which I am pretty good at) so roll on GOW2!

yes i have just started it for the first time on heroic and i`m getting slaughtered, that stupid alien that keeps disappearing is crap and is not killing anybody, i`m supposed to get to some river bed to escape, no idea where it is, no idea what these things are that are shooting me, or where they are shooting me from.
i will try it on a lower difficulty tomorrow and give it a second chance, but so far i think its the biggest piece of ****e i have ever bought (loved call of duty 2 so its not like i hate FPS)

Just finished it in around 7hrs, this has to be the shortest most repetitive piece of crap game for a long while, it would of only taken 3hrs if you didnt have to trace back your steps on every level.
They should of at least thrown in some puzzle solving to break up the game play a little.
Thankfully i had it on rental and not on hype
Half-life 2 is still the daddy of fps's
Edited to say, the AI also sucks big time.
