It needs anti cheat after that.

3 of us were on locked server and decide to go public cos it was only half full, soon found out why.

A number of **** on there were permanantly TKing/swapping sides etc. Even after I TK'd the guy he immediately reconnected (same name!) and then eventually used the ghost cheat so he was invisible.

He has his voice comm repeating suck my mother ****ing c**k, which was highly amusing, especially when I muted him.

BUT he wasn't alone (hitman was his moniker) and there were I think 2/3 others who were Tking but not as bad. Normally [G0dz] are on and admin it, but there was nobody. Shame really. Waste of oxygen and food resources.

 

I thought it was amusing for a few minutes. Killed Hitman on Italy near CT spawn, he dies, then respawns and runs at me again shooting. How many times can you kill the same guy in the same round.

Come to think about it, I should have snapshot the won-id's.

Orbv, see in the above there is mention of SilentRun. I take it this is not allowed? As in using "+Moveup" and "-Moveup"? Which are standard HL commands.

My understanding is that this user was using a script so running at full speed causes no footsteps sound. Walkin/Crouching (which has the same effect) will not get u banned.

Just play how u normal do guys, and u will not be banned

 

I'm still confused.

I have a bind which uses the +moveup command which allows you to float in water but at the same time allows you to move slightly faster than walking but slower than running without making a sound. Is this allowed? I tried it last night which seems fine, unless the logs say otherwise????

I guess if you've been using it on Locked and it hasn't caused a problem then the Public one is going to be fine aswell.

I'm sure I saw somewhere, some instructions for creating a keys to toggle walking ? rather than having to hold shift, whcih I find quite awkward - anyone know ?
