Unhappy Finding deleted folders/pictures

I seem to have deleted all my picture folders, they are not in the recycle bin, can anyone help as I'm in deep doo doo when a certain person finds out !!!

There are loads of recovery programs out there, get on a torrent site or newsgroups and run some deep scans..

****, I scan my camera every few years and find a LOT of dirty ex pictures

Go to programs, accs and do a system restore to an earlier date,i think that should re install them

Done a system restore this only restores Windows programs not files, I think, I'm running Vista if that helps.

The more you do on the PC the less chance of getting the files back.. When windows deletes a file all if does is delete the header so basically it forgets where the file is.. it can then record over it... the more you run and install the more chance of losing the information.

When the police say they can recover anything.. thats not true.. if you know how to remove it !

look for getdataback - I used it all the time when I ran my own PC repair company and it was brilliant.

There is an NTFS ver and a FAT 32 version so get the right one (or get both!) try the demo and you will see if it picks anything up - definitely worth buying for future use tho

File Recovery Software - File Repair - Easy Recovery - Ontrack Data Recovery is also pretty good, i've used it on a number of occasions and its always worked flawlessly.
