Question about iPods
The new nano in particular.
When you connect it up, does it appear on your desktop as a USB style disk that you can store data on or can files only be synched up to it using iTunes.
I know the old iPods you could...

Hi, it shows in "My Computer" as an extra disk, just as the older ones did. Personally i use media player to put any music on, although itunes has the extra options of checking diagnostics etc.

3G iPod Nano does have the ability to be used as a disk, as did the prior models. I think the only ones that don't currently support this feature are the iPod Touch and iPhone.
