It's part of the game.
On Inferno we were getting quite talkative then suddenly everyone went into librarian mode. BORING.
Assault2k was absoluteley pants. I just could not get motivated to play it. Assault would've been better or Delta assault even.
Anway as I auto assign to CT anyway most of the time, I am fighting agains the forces of evil who would remove my right to whinge and complain.
So there. I shall continue as before.

As a team, instead of playing "Hunt the Noob" as you so eloquently put it, wouldn't it make more sense to offer advice on how not to get caught next time to said personage?

i offered the n00b some advice on aztec - when we had planted the bomb - Hide behind a crate and wait!
but then i felt patronising so shut up!
if you want more teamplay i suggest we kill the stats - that way people will not be so obsessed with frags. is there a way of changing the stats not to log kills but things like bomb defuse/plant etc?

ooh forgot to mention the knifing incident.
on cbble a ct was lurking with a sniper rifle in the room above the tunnel.
i crashed up the stairs, ran around the room, double taked on the fact i had seen a ct, switched weapon about 10 times, eventually found knife - walked over to CT and slashed and stabbed the apprently deaf ct to death.
lol - die neanderthal! (oh and i have a screenshot)

was having a good day til last nite........
total waste of space playing against v/lpbs with the ability to move 5x my speed, turn and fire 2 shots that immediately kill me even though full hp, despite me often getting the drop on people and shooting them several times 1st etc all while i am lagging and having a ping of 120 - 350 ? talk about free kills helping someones stats
esp on assault and another map where there were 7 T's (the more veteran players to ?) - ALL vlpb against 6 CT's with a mix of lpb and hpw.
no doubt some of u had a really good evening and has scores which look impressive, me - i just could not give a **** and didnt even try so left to do summat else.
no matter wot anyone says the imbalance of pings between players creates a totally unfair 'playing field' IMHO. (i would say that some of you probably found this to be perhaps true after your experiences of the LAN session and consistent pings across everyone ?)
Tonite : other half is away for the nite in Hatfield and i was looking forward to this for a cracking session......
Me - currently am not even considering playing CS after the crap i put up with last nite, as shocking a suggesting as that sounds. Cos i am far from feeling CS overload - its brilliant with STi now and the number of players we have - take a look at tomorrows thread on Page 3 and see how many names i was able to list !!!!
Wed Team Nite : Me.....again as i posted on the actual thread i cant currently be bothered to play - even more so as 'er indoors comes home that evening around 6-7 pm.......
I am going back to Kingpin and Quake 3 Team Arena to see how i fare on these. or its back to the PS2

i am going to be requesting that Mike / Orb remove [STi] Kheldar from the stats on the Locked server.
i dislike them as i have said several times in the past for various reasons.

I don't care about my stats, if I did then I would not mess about so much when blowdog comes out to play.
I don't want to loose my team kills stats they show you how much I love you guys

I don't tend to bother. But in any case I ma more interested in the bomb planting etc aspect of the team play, don't care if I kill anyone as long as I stay alive and my team wins.
The stats are good on Rogue, they do give a skill rating based on everything, not just frags. However, it reflects how I play and I am not concerned about changing my game to suit the stats.
Use this URL and replace the 1 with a 3 to see locked server stats.

Steve, I don't understand your lag problem:
a) I've seen plenty of good players (one I know on the public server who has a ping of >100 normally) and he's great
b) If you play other online games, won't you have the same problem?
c) Your not doing bad in the stats
Sometimes Im playing, I quite clearly get "the shot" in first, yet I end up dead. I think some of this could be put down to how CS detects a hit, and where, more than ping times. If you don't have any lag problems on other games, then IMO this would confirm my thinking.
Anyway it will be a shame to see you go, as you've worked so hard to put this virtual community together.... one that is growing by the week. It won't be the same without you !!!!

I had an absolute Pooooooo evening last night.
A mate come round to network my old PC to my new one so I could transfer all the "sensitive" data to my new pc. I go for a **** and he's fdisk'd the old PC believing there were 2 h/d in there (D: being the one with everything I wanted to keep). Low and behold it was only a single h/d partitioned into 2.
To top it all off he didn't even manage to get the pc's networked either! [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img].
He could see my obvious "happiness" at this and as compensation he's taking my 64Mb GF2 MX400 into work and swaping it with a new GF3 Ti 500
Once he'd gone I popped on to the locked server and I just couldn't get into the swing of it at all. Having to play with a crappy parkard bell ball mouse isn't helping.
I'm going to take a few days break from CS. I think I've o/d on it

I agree with you as you can see. I want people to join and enjoy it, not have some load of nurks killing them all the time, you can get that on any public server.

i consider myself a good player as i like to think the stats show given the conn i have compared to everyone else.
i'm just getting fed up being easy kills for people's stats
well i've tried to get STi going along with Bazza and its nice to see how many peeps we have now. your server has made a tremendous difference as well m8......so ta v v muchly to you and orb for your work.
its interesting that in 1.4 its going to made incredibly difficult to hit anyone when jumping etc so that will help hpw like me and cut down the number of times a vlpb is jumping all over the place and yet still kills me with 2 bullets ??
also 1.4 is having some adj to the 'hitboxes' so that might help to if i am lucky.
Crispin : nice to see u - dont give up on us yet m8 !!! although i think u need to look at your conn to m8 from wot i remember ?
if Crack gets to 'orrid i'll just kick him off the server for 30 mins so u can play
i might be around tonite to check my conn but it if looks like 250-350 i wont be staying long.....
