Do the quad core CPUs and zalman coolers come with thermal pads?
I am going to get a Q9450 and zalman cnp9500 cooler and want to use the arctic silver thermal paste.
Just wondering whether i will have to first clean off a thermal pad from one or the other?

I know that this is probably teaching you to suck eggs - but remember to only use a TINY amount of paste in the middle of the heatsink.
The pressure of the clamp will push it out into the gaps on the respective surfaces which is what thermal paste is meant to fill
