piece of cake.

put it in an external caddy..... will connect to ANY PC or Mac with USB

Is it a bog standard IDE drive, or is it SATA?

Cases/Enclosures cost circa £20 (or go to Ebay for even cheaper)

PC WORLD one

Once you fitted it, just format in Windows

Two connections, one to power one to Sata or IDE port... depending on HHD type.

The box then closes around it...

Simple really.

you could buy a NAS enclosure and network it from your router / switch.
NAS enclosures can be had for around 30 quid.

for example: here

I know its not internal but its not external either if its networked, as such lol

Just hold the hdd by the casing n dont touch the chips on the underside. Or if you want to be really ****, earth yourself, n wear an anti-static strap before handling it To be honest thou, they are pretty tough these days, and bar dropping one on concrete pretty much bombproof.
