Bethere Vs Sky
Right im currently on Bethere pro package costing £18 per month now Im getting DL of 6mb and 1.1mb upload due to me being far away from the exchange my ping is also at a nice 23 MS im more then happy with be I cant fault there service but there price isnt the cheapist
Now I hardly download anything so was looking at the sky upto 8mb DL with a 40 gig cap as its only £5 per month meaning a massive saving
I only use the net for online gaming cod 4 / BF2142 etc I also have my Wii online and my PSP
Should I change or is Sky pants
I could drop the bethere package to the £14 upto 8 mb but im tied in for 12 months then so im unsure what to do

hmmm my pings on sky varied a great deal, changing dns servers didnt really help either.
probably the best ping I got was just over 30ms to the bbc, that was a rarity though and a lot of the time it was 50+
The only online gaming I did was on the xbox360 and I must admit though that I had no problems with it at all. As you know am currently on BE and moved from Sky.
Only connected a few days but my speeds are slightly higher with BE even though im on the adsl2+ service, webpages seem to respond quicker as well, and also I can download multiple things at the same time without my connection freezing. (Although sky is uncapped I think they do some basic traffic shaping so if you are downloading a few torrents concurrently it slows right down, whereas with BE that doesnt seem to happen)
Other than that I would say they are fairly similar, cust svs for sky can be a bit of a pain at times whereas with BE you can log a ticket and usually it gets done within hours. (Ive had them changing my profile and fastpath etc since friday with no problems whatsoever)
My only reason for changing from sky is because I am getting rid of the tv package otherwise I would stay with them, however I am more than happy with BE upto now
