Without giving any spoilers - can someone tell me how you beat the last "B&B"?

It is something special - the best game I've played in a long time. Excellent graphics and gameplay - if you're not into sneaking games you can play it as an FPS if you like.
A lot has been said about the cutscenes, but there aren't any that come it at 90 mins like has been reported - the longest is around an hour, and its the game's ending. There's another about midway which is about 40 mins, but its's split in 2 - the end of 1 act and the mission briefing for the next.
Story is superb, esp. if you've played all the previous games, there's lots of nods towards them.
Can't really say too much for fear of giving away some spoilers as there's a lot of memorable moments.
Not just the best thing on the PS3 - but dare I say this generation of consoles so far...

I think the pausing is the important bit. There's nothing more annoying that being mid cut scene and the phone ringing or such like, and not being able to pause it.

You can play it as the traditional stealth game, or you can switch it to be like a FPS - I did a mixture of the 2.
There's rewards at the end of the game that you receive that you can use on subsequent play's - but to unlock them you must do stuff like don't kill anyone or not alerting any enemies.

Erm... I'd say yes - read a report that sales in the US have jumped 180%. It's definately a cracking title, very cinematic, the actions a little OTT & cliche'd in places but it's better than half the stuff Hollywood is putting out these days!
Graphics are excellent and varied, the promo video's alway seem to show the Middle East setting, but that's only the first of 5 Acts. There's also a few gameplay "oddities" which I won't give away - If you played the first game on the PS1, you might remember having to switch controller ports so that a Psychic couldn't anticipate your moves...
I started playing it again last night - and not an achievement point in sight...

PS3 is the only console I've bought so far for "one game", and so far it's been the only console I've ever bought that I've been dissappointed with
Still tempted by MGS4 though, although I will skip all of the cut scenes

Exactly, it's already got it's share of games, this could be the one that just pushes that little extra.

I really am, in two minds about MGS, I really want to pick it up, but its like an investment with time, it's not the sort of game you can pick up for 30 mins or so - Not with those cutscenes
They should have an option at the start of the game - Detailed full on cut scenes, or brief overview cutscenes. Thing is, I think that cutscenes in games with a storyline attached do serve a purpose. They give a you a context of what's happened, and what's coming next and why you are doing it. And sometimes its great to see an over the top extravaganza of a cut scene as a result of your actions. They also serve to build up a bit of tension, or set a mood.
I mean some of th great gaming moments have been in cutsecen form - Aeris dying in FFVII and the entrance of the Flood in Halo spring to mind (you know the whole helmet cam thing).
But it is a fine line between thinking "oooh this is great" and "Oh FFS, get on with it".

The majority of the big cutscenes are all the Mission Breifings - you can skip these but still access them from the main menu.
TBH, it'd be like reading Lord Of The Rings while ignoring the back story - you can do it, but should you?
Totally recommend the game - £37.97 in Woolies I saw yesterday.

I think it's around 8gb in total, there's an initial install that takes about 8 minutes and loads 4gb onto the HDD. There's also another install before each Act which take about 2 minutes.
Oddly though - when I went into the system to see how much it had taken up it was just saying 146kb for the save so I thought I might delete the install once its finished with it, but after restarting the game for a 2nd play it didn't run through the install process...

Got some music, photos and videos on there, plus 2gb install for GT5, several downloaded games from PSN (including things like Warhawk etc). A 40gb HD fills up surprisingly quickly...
