Call of Duty 5 Beta Xbox 360
Anyone got a spare redemption code for this, i've registered with them to get one but they seem to be emailing them out a random.
I've seen them on Ebay but don't want to pay £10 for something that was given away (or for a demo).
Any generous soul feeling kind?

Bit of a misnoma to call it "Call Of Duty 5", if you're referring to "World At War"
The original game's developers , who also wrote COD4, didn't develop that one.

yes, that's correct too
you could say I'm being pedantic but it's more a mark of quality for me. When I buy a new Call Of Duty game, I don't want to find the publisher has sub-contracted it out to some lesser developer offering an inferior experience, just so they can put a Call Of Duty game on the shelves in time for Christmas.
Cynical, moi ?

You are indeed both pedantic and cynical
I guess it's a way of reducing development times so they can churn out more releases and fleecing the buyer for his hard earned cash. Maybe everyother cod should be either platinum price or dlc

Thanks anyway Pedants - got myself a code and downloading COD5 just now
I had a go on someone elses machine and it's really very similar in feel to COD4 just within different maps/scenery. I'm a sucker for this sort of game though

Sorry Micky has gone to someone from Pistonheads.
I'll PM you it anyway, maybe he hasn't used it yet. I'd rather it went to someone on Snet anyway.

so what do you lot make of the beta
played it for an hour today, some thoughts
kept getting killed by people glitching out of the maps and shooting me through the floor
i kinda wish the new maps were in COD4 to be honest,
i felt like the weapons did not really feel "right" i cant explain it, but the game seams to "fast" for the old weapons ?
the whistling bomb airstrike noise is just plain annoying, and was getting on my nerves!

It just feels like COD4 with new maps to me, the glitching on the Roundhouse map is a pain in the neck but no many people are doing it now.
I've got another key if anyone else wants to try the Xbox demo.

If anyone's got a 360 code going spare then I wouldn't mind taking it off their hands
Once you have the code, what do you do with it? I was expecting a 'download trial' option in the Game Store.
If it's as crap as everyone's making out, I may have to buy COD4 again
