at £17.99 you can probably barrel through it on a lazy saturday and trade it in next week and get £20 quid back!

that is my plan

jack clark`s been playing it today, he might tell us if its worth £18

I've been playing it and really like it. Elements of God of War with some of the sequence button pressing (if you've played it) and quite nicely done with the part cell shading (IMO). I picked it up for £25 and it's keeping me interested still, despite being a lot of the same running, jumping, wall-running, etc.

Don't blame me if you don't like it though

Yeah it's worth £18 although the fightings a bit of a pain in the butt, pressing buttons in the right order at the right time type thing. It's very pretty and running around collecting things is fun. I will have it finished tomorrow and will trade it in.

Not played it but heard you cant die as some bloke saves you and you cant kill anything as you get distracted and they run off sounds a pointless game to me if thats true

You can't die, you jump off a cliff you get put back on the last solid ground you were on, exactly the same as any other game but there are more spawn points. You definitely do kill things. And, it's a chick that does the saving, a magic chick

Played it and finished it a while ago. As Jack says, you do kill a lot of things, jump around a lot, climb building etc. Never saw a single monster run off in the whole game!!

It's not a "great" game. but I enjoyed it and it's definitely worth a go at £17.99

This was delivered today, play.com must be running a little slow

i cant work out if its any good or not, its a bit like assasins creed as expected, but seams "dumbed down", it also seams quite short as i have "unlocked" 2 of the 4 powers so far, so unless something else happens after i unlock the other 2, i would consider myself half way into it already

some thoughts

1. you can not die? at all ?
2. i keep getting the feeling that they made the game for simpletons

hopefully i can have it finished by monday and i will trade it straight in, when is race pro due out ?

I didn't manage to finish it in under 12 hours. And you can die, you just come back to life real quick.

Took me a while to get all 1001 light seeds Not tried to do a sub 12 hour run through yet, will do that when I feel like zipping through it. Haven't done the speed runs in it either, so still some mileage in finishing it completely.

i never realised that you actually had to collect a good few of the lightseeds to open all the levels up

it meant that i had to spend an hour today going back through all the rest i had done to collect enough to unlock more levels.

game already seams to feel a like a bit of a chore, i hate the boss battles due to fact that you have to keep fighting the same person over and over again (at least the warrior one is dead for good now!)

got 5 more levels to do and 3 final boss battles then it should be ready to trade in, my local games shop is still selling this for £35 brand new on the website and preowned copys are going for £25, so hopefully i will get £20 trade for it

ps. did anybody else get the free assassins creed "altair" skin by having the gamertag linked to ubisoft (mine was linked for the free rainbow vegas 2 maps you got)

There's another level after the ones you can see. I hated the fighting.

What was wrong with the fighting (other than being too easy that is)?

Hitting combinations of buttons over and over again was tedious. Also, hitting the right button to defend yourself was often impossible.

the fighting was just a ballache, especially fighting the same character over and over again!

i would not say its "easy" well it is in that you cant die, but for instance if you press the wrong button the boss can throw you into an animation while he/she regains half the health again, its a right PITA

button mashing seams to have no effect, it more like the old dragons lair arcade game IMO

right button, right time otherwise its back to the start.

finished it around 10 mins ago, will be trading it in tomorrow while its worth more then i paid for it

But you hit the same buttons over and over again in practically every game out there. It didn't strike me that pop was any better or worse in that respect.

I thought it was quite easy. It's all in the timing

That only happened to me once in the whole game. I managed to beat pretty much all the guardians on my first attempt (hence why I said it was too easy).

Crackdown was great. I got it free from MS as compensation for one of my broken 360 returns (the 11th I think). It was surprisingly enjoyable, and may even go back and play it again (to boost the gamerscore a bit).
