Default XBOX 360 driving games

Well after selling my last 360 almost 2 years ago i've just bought another.

i got a few games with it but the only driving game is PGR3 which is too arcadey so i'm looking for a new 1.
I've seen quite a few to choose but want something realistic (ish) and have shortlisted
GRID
Forza2
NFS Undercover

which is the better of these?

Cheers

For a sim type you only have the one choice and that's Forza 2. Race pro is out Jan 09 and that will give you another choice in the Sim type.

NFS games are nothing but pure arcade and won't do what your looking for.

Grid is a halfway house. Arcade game really with a bit more skill required than NFS.

I worked on GRID, doing the sound effects I'd say it's more NFS due to the lack of tuning your vehicles, but using more Forza like tracks. You get to drive muscle car races in the US, touring car in Europe, destruction derbys etc.

Its certainly less sim than Forza overall, but more sim than NFS imho.

As for Need for Speed - being a massive NFS fan I'd say avoid all released since Most Wanted, which is the best they've produced so far. Undercover is a wannabe, and I got bored with it after 4 hours straight playing.

grid was a pretty good game IMO

forza is still the sim king at the moment, but race pro is due soon and the devs have a long history of making pc sims, so it may be good!

I`ve tried Grid and it was entertaining, Forza was very good but didn`t keep my interest for that long.

It might be old, poor graphics in relation to newer games but . . .

I always go back to Richard Burns Rally, nothing comes close

Forza is the best game that i've played on the xbox - although this Race Pro coming out looks awesome... and the fact it looks like it will have brands hatch as a circuit sells it for me! use to spend my life there as a child!

another thumbs up for Forza2, fantastic game. Bought it the first day it came out and still play it at least once a week.

Get it, buy a CRX, Supercharge it, destroy EVERYTHING whilst having serious fun trying to control it at the same time.

DiRT2'll be out next year

Race Pro's looking interesting. I like what SimBin do on the PC - think it'll be on my shopping list..

Another one for Forza2. The only option for sim gameplay and as above, still playing it since release day.

I've only just got my xbox but I am loving Forza2. I also have PGR4 but I prefer Forza.

If you didnt like PGR then definately dont play NFS they all drive like the cars are on rails which is far too arcade.
I only played the demo of GRID but it seemed to have the opposite problem where the cars all understeered but this may have been fixed.
Overall Forza 2 ftw! Awesome game, great graphics, and a decent level of difficulty which is easily adjustable.

As mentioned above, GRID isn't a sim at all although the drifting is great fun from the demo I've played...and it's probably a pretty good game anyway.

Forza 2 is very realistic, but I just can't get into it. To be honest I'm useless at it because of this...and I'm not a bad driver - go to all the track days I can, and go karting alot etc. I'll maybe give it another go soon.

I wonder how much difference one of the decent steering wheels would make?

i used to enjoy PGR but forza is vastly superior as a SIM. NFS undercover is rediculous even for arcade really but it is fun and there are some nice cars.

Yeah, and I think the official m-soft one turns more than a single turn each way...

forza2 is an amazing game!!!

then take it online for another huge dimension.

i can honestly say laughs for ££'s this game wins hands down when racing with mates and the realism and tunability of the cars makes it almost timeless.
you can download extra content (more cars and track etc) and also limit a whole host of features online, like making people race only one type of car etc, or limit BHP or limit AWD, the choices are endless.

xbox + COD4 + Forza2 and you'll be happy for a good year, maybe more!!
