Windows 7 woes

I've got a downloaded ISO image of Windows 7 64 bit. When I run the install (from booting), get an error about not finding driver files. I googled the error, which returned several million hits, so it seems like I'm not alone!
I've tried the most popular tip, which was to burn the DVD at the slowest speed, using Active ISO. Did that, on 2 types of disk (same drive - I only have the one). Same error.
I tried using the Browse function to point it to the Vista driver folder, which didn't work.
Any other ideas?
cheers

I had the same issue using a legitimate copy of Windows 7 64 bit. It worked perfectly on my laptop, but would not load on a desktop and continually came up with the error. I tried different ISOs, reburning the image on different disks and using different drives, which all made no difference.
I ended up trying a USB DVD drive which work perfectly, so the issue seem to lie with the SATA DVD writer that was installed on the desktop. Once installed the SATA DVD drive seems to work perfectly.
The alternative would be copy the files to a USB stick and install the Windows 7 from there, but you will need to be able to boot from a USB stick. Here is a guide I found very useful when installing Windows 7 on netbooks: Install Windows 7 From USB Drive/Pen Drive

unfortunately my MB doesn't seem to support USB booting (It's not an option in the BIOS boot menu). The CD drive is IDE though, I've heard of a few issue with SATA drives
